HANKEL ARCHIVE PROJECT

These are images that were collected from my paternal grandfather, who worked as a photographer professionally. These images came into my possession through my Uncle Robert who had been holding on to them for a number of years. He sent them to me as I had wanted to include them in the publication of the chapbook Of This with bird, buried press in Peterborough, Ontario. 

This is a creative-based research project where objects, documents and knowledge about and of the artist Spencer Sheehan-Kalina, his family and the communities he engaged with are explored and preserved and studied. This blog is intended to be a digital repository where the HANKEL Archive Project can share and preserve documentation of the HANKEL Archive.
